What is Bauer Media?
Bauer Media is (originally began in UK) Europe's biggest private owned publishing business, it is world widely recognised for publishing over 300 magazines in 15 countries, as well as online and TV Radio stations. The company altogether has employed over 6,400 people.
The most popular magazines being published at the moment are:

As you can see from this list the company have a huge range of many magazine types that will attract a large audience who fall under the Katz and Blumer (1974) theory, because this theorist has concluded audiences read a piece of text for purposes such as personal identity, diversion...and surveillance.
The company began in 1953 with the launch of their “Angling Times” and the “Motor Cycle News”, iconic brands of their portfolio. But in 1990 the company began a radio business in London, the dance station “Kiss”, which shortly after began Liverpool’s “Radio City,” then followed by two others called “TWC” and the “Metro Group.” The previous “Melody FM” was then transformed into the radio station “Magic.”
Then in 1994 the company began to purchase a small magazine called “For Him Magazine” which is now one of the best-selling international multiplatform brand “FHM.” In 1996 Beau Media began the music channel “The Box” which is a seven channel joint venture with the TV business company “Channel 4.”
In 2002 the company launched a magazine which is known as a gossip magazine aimed at a female audience, the magazine is called “Closer.” But in 2005 the company launched “Grazia,” another female target audience magazine because it is all about fashion tips and designs.
Kerrang!
Kerrang! is the worlds biggest selling weekly music magazine and is a original multi-platform youth brand for all rock genre’s in the music industry. Kerrang! provides lots of information for the target audience in the magazine; reviews, gig guides, important features, posters, videos and much more. It is also a radio station and music channel. On a few occasions the Kerrang! have even been on tour and held their own award ceremony.
